Maison Mayci first had a mention in this blog in 2008, when I visited their Kings Heath shop. Since then they have opened a shop in Moseley:
- which is a great excuse to go back!
Naturally there's baguettes:
They make quite a range of bread, with different loaves made on different days:
and it's all good:
There's also croissants:
And if you thought that was good, wait until you see the patisserie!
There's a café at the back of the shop:
where you can enjoy blackcurrant cheesecake, chocolate, coffee or vanilla eclair or a lemon (or should I say citron) tart or a bakewell tart:
Or maybe a walnut tart or a black cherry custard or a raspberry and almond tart?
The raspberry and custard tarts are very good, as are the classic French apple tarts.
They also do chocolates - which would make a great gift for your Valentine!
