The Lune Valley Smokehouse

The Lune Valley Smokehouse is at the back of the Redwell Country Inn:

and is run by chef Rob Talbot.  It's situated in a nice but relatively unexplored part of Lancashire.  It's close to the Crook O' Lune (admired by poets like Thomas Gray and William Wordsworth and painted by JMW Turner) and even closer to Carnforth (which I can never mention without thinking about Brief Encounter and Rachmaninov's Piano Concerto)!
Inside the shop you can see the smokery and buy smoked haddock, kippers mackerel and salmon.  There's also smoked chicken and Goosnargh duck breasts, honey-roast ham and smoked game when in season.

If you don't like smoked food (why not?), there's dry-cured bacon, home-made black pudding and Cumberland sausages and potted shrimps.
They've won prizes in the Taste Lancashire and Taste England awards.  Enjoy their produce in the restaurant, and buy something to take home in the shop!

They also do mail order for people unlucky enough to not live near to this part of rural Lancashire.
