Shrewsbury - Deliciate

Deliciate, according to Webster's Dictionary, means "To delight one's self; to indulge in feasting; to revel", and this new shop in Shrewsbury is a good place to get the ingredients for a feast!

Inside the shop:

there's a real emphasis on food from Shropshire. They sell Shropshire Granola, and organic cereals form Pimhill Farm. There's cold pressed rapeseed oil from Great Ness Oil, gourmet stuffings from the Shropshire Spice Company and pickles form Salop Pickle Works

There's chutney, jam and honey from Petton Preserves, more chutney, jam, sauces and delicious fudge from Love Fudge and biscuits from Ma Bakers: 

In the chilled section:

there's meat from Maynard's Farm and Wenlock Edge Farm. They also sell Smoke and Pickle's wonderful sauces and soups.  They sell Mr. Moyden's handmade cheeses, butter from the Flavoured Butter Company and Robert Swift's wonderful bread.

To wash it all down there's soft drinks from Heartease Farm, tea and coffee from Aroma Tea and Coffee Merchants, and there's also local beers and wines (I recommend you try Darwin's Origin from Salopian Brewery):

I was bitterly disappointed when Heart of Engand Fine Foods (HEFF) went into voluntary liquidation earlier this year.  However this lovely new shop, full of some of the best food from Shropshire, helps make up for that.
