Belfast - Co Couture

If you're serious about chocolate, and visit Co Couture in Belfast, you could be forgiven for thinking you've died and gone to heaven! It's on Chichester Street, just off Donegall Square, and 2 minutes walk from the Visit Belfast Welcome Centre which is a great place to start exploring this city.

You could easily miss this, which is situated in the basement of a lovely old building, which was the home of Victorian engineer Luke L Macasey:
It's a stylish boutique:

where you can see (and smell) the chocolates being freshly made in small batches.

Once you've tried one of their chocolate oranges:
made with 70% Madagascar chocolate, and blended with a fresh orange ganache, you won't want any other.

You can sit down:
and have a delicious hot chocolate, whilst you decide what to buy. There's Dark Cocoa Tea (made with black tea and cocoa kernels) from Suki Tea. They have books on chocolate:
and some rather fine cards - "Forget love, I'd rather fall in chocolate"! Or how about a dark chocolate golden shoe:
or a chocolate fondue set?
How about a finger of fudge (not to be confused with inferior products with a similar name), or brownie bites, or rocky road clusters (amaretti biscuits, roast almond, fresh marshmallow and cranberry in ganache) whilst you explore the streets of Belfast?
