Glasgow - Rodgers Butchers

If you want a nice piece of Scotch beef, I can recommend Rodgers Butchers. Five generations have owned this  family business, their first shop was opened in Clydebank in the 1960s.

The shop I've visited here is situated on Byres Road, in the heart of Glasgow's West End:
It's a Q Guild butcher - which I've found is always a guarantee of good quality. There's locally sourced beef, pork, lamb (which come from one of ten Scottish farms to ensure traceability) and award winning sausages and pies (cooked on the premises).
There's also a large selection of locally sourced game, when in season.  I'm familiar with black puddings and white puddings, but hadn't come across fruit puddings like this:
which I gather are quite popular in this part of Scotland.

If you like your food hot and spicy, they sell Mrs B's Chilli Jam:
and Wasabi Teriyaki Sauce from Man Meat Fire.
