Edinburgh - Breadshare

Outside Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Cathedral, you'll find Eduardo Paolozzi's Manuscript of Monte Cassino sculpture. I, like the locals, prefer to call it The Big Foot!

This is where you'll also find the The Tram Stop Market.  When I called earlier this year, there wasn't much left of this market (it's been affected recently by roadworks).  However I'd recommend a visit, just to get some bread from Breadshare - a community supported bakery:
These wonderful people have the aim of making real bread more accessible. They involve the community and make bread using organic ingredients. They are organically certified - one of very few bakeries to be truly organic in Scotland.  They also use locally sourced ingredients, wherever possible, and avoid artificial additives and processing aids.

I believe this sort of bread is both tastier and better for you:
They also were selling tomato and olive focaccia.

Unfortunately I didn't get chance to visit their premises - they have a bakery and café in Seafield Road East and also a shop in Leith
