Notting Hill Farmers' Market

It's quite easy to miss Notting Hill Farmers' Market - which would be a shame as it's great place in London to buy fresh food directly from the maker.  It's not far from Notting Hill Gate tube station, but go south (away from Notting Hill) and keep your eyes out for the signs near Waterstones:
There's lots of fresh vegetables:
and herbs:
as well as fruit:
like these apples and pears from Chegworth Valley in Kent who were also selling their fruit juice:
Perry Court Farm bring fruit, vegetables, juice and crisps to those that can't get to their farm in Kent. DGJ Tanner, from Sopley Farm in Dorset, sell rhubarb, asparagus, a range of soft fruits, marrow, squash, as well as bunches of Sweet Williams (depending on the time of year).  Ted's Veg sell home-grown vegetables and salad from Ted Dawson’s farm near Boston in Lincolnshire.  Nigel's Lettuces and Lovage sells vegetables and salads from his smallholding in Cambridgeshire.

Gary Haggis sells fresh fish, caught from a small day boat off the coast of Walton-on-Naze in Essex:
Meat eaters are well catered for!  There's Beatbush Farm:
who sell grass fed Romney lamb and Aberdeen Angus beef from their farm, that is dry aged for a minimum of 21 days:
Tori and Ben's sell their Longhorn beef and Jacob lamb:
Richard Waller sell Aylesbury ducks:
Westmore Farm, on the Oxfordshire/Wiltshire borders, sell free-range chicken
Vegetarians will be delighted to see Moreton Mushrooms, from Home Farm, Moreton Pinkney:
with a wide range of home-grown mushrooms and pate:
I'm a big fan of Guernsey Milk, so was delighted to see Hurdlebrook:
selling A2 raw Guernsey milk and cream from their Somerset dairy farm, along with fruited yoghurts, crème fraïche and sour cream.

If you're in a hurry, Phils Pesto:
sells hand made pestos and pastas.  How about some High Weald sheep ricotta?
If you fancy a tomato sauce Isle of Wight passata:
 from the  Tomato Stall

The Mouthful Food Company sell pestos, salsas and soups:
sell sour-dough bread They are an award-winning social enterprise who work with young people facing barriers to financial independence: youth offenders, early school leavers and the long term unemployed.

There's organic bread:
and organic croissants:
from the Celtic Bakers, who make who make award winning breads, sourdoughs and pastries in the old Chocolate Factory in North London.

If you're on a restricted diet, there's a good range of eggless and gluten free cakes for sale:
Isidora Popovic, trading as Popina, has acquired quite a reputation for her baked goods:
She uses locally sourced seasonal ingredients to make quiches, cheesecakes and strudels and offers gluten free products.

I'll finish, as every good meal should finish, with some fine cheese.  The Wyfe of Bath, at Park Farm in Kelston (near Bath), make delicious award-winning organic cheeses:
