Tunstall Market

Tunstall is one of the 6 towns that make up Stoke-on-Trent.  There's been a market here since medieval times.  The Victorian building is Grade II listed, and the market was extensively renovated in 2001.

Tony Stanfield has been selling fruit and vegetables in the market for 44 years:
There are three butchers:
all selling competitvely priced meat:
The Fish Man at Tunstall market is a traditional fishmongers, and sells fresh fish at reasonable prices:
Hulmes Oatcakes & Pikelets;
sell traditional Staffordshire oatcakes:
and pikelets made in their bakery, just over a mile form the market.

There's some interesting artwork in the foyer, created by local children and Johnson Tiles to commemorate the 2012 London Olympics:
The market is open on Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
