Knutsford - The Lambing Shed Farm Shop and Café

The Lambing Shed Farm Shop and Café is one of a new breed of farms shops that's taking the supermarkets head on. It's a fairly new one-stop food shop, which is both attractive and classy.
The Mitchell family have farmed at Moseley Hall Farm for nearly 70 years.  The shop sells their own produce, as well as additional supplies from more than 40 local suppliers.  There's a particularly good butchery counter:
where they sell their own home-reared lamb, and 28 day air dried beef.

There's free range chicken and pork, supplied by local farmers, and their own burgers:
Their tasty sausages have already won awards:
and they know they are good, so they let you try before you buy.
When I called, earlier this year, they had barbeque packs}
Free range eggs come from Sapling Home Farm, in Lower Peover:
There's an attractive deli counter:
selling cooked meats and homemade black pudding:
Their bread comes from Mobberley Bakery:
and there's Charlie's Cheshire Butter to spread on it:
They sell some good cheeses, including Appleby's Cheshire and Mrs Kirkhams Lancashire:
I bought one of my favourite Cheddar cheeses, from Westcombe Dairy.

They also sell a wide range of items like speciality oils and vinegars:
If you're in a hurry, they're starting to develop a range of ready meals:
They also sell Jo's Cheshire Kitchen puddings:
she also does a gluten free version of her excellent sticky toffee pudding.

From a bit further afield, there's more pudding choices from Country Puddings
made by farmer’s wife Lynne Mallinson in Cumbria.

The Lambing Shed also have a range of carefully selected alcoholic drinks:
and if any grateful readers want to buy me something for Christmas, I'd be very happy with a Rare Breeds Beer Selection!
There's also an excellent café
where you can enjoy a piece of their cake:
and a "Lambing Shed" drink
and it's just 4 miles from Junction 16 on the M6.
