Skipton - Keelham Farm Shop

Having visited Keelham Farm Shop in Skipton, it was no surprise to see they were a runner-up for best independent retailer in the prestigious Observer Food monthly awards.  It's a large shop, near Skipton cattle market, and easily accessible from the by-pass.
Three generations of the Robertshaw family have combined farming with butchery, their first shop set on a working sheep farm at Thornton, near Bradford has been on my must visit list for a while. The Skipton shop opened in June 2015 and is an attractive one-stop shop.
As you'd expect, there's a good butchers, where meat can be prepared to your requirements:
They are also more than matching the supermarkets, with oven ready items:
You should also try their award winning pork pies:
There's a selection of cheeses from Yorkshire and further afield:
It's an attractive one stop shop to explore.
There's a good selection of fresh vegetables
and whilst admiring this lovely old McCormick Tractor:
I was particularly pleased to see (like the greengrocers when I was a small boy) that children could have free fruit:
even if I my mum said that they did that just to keep me quiet!

They also offer fruit and veg boxes:
and there's a very good selection of local beers and fine wines.
There's also a café
and another one upstairs, with some tempting cakes:
There's also a small garden centre:
and an area where they arrange different events (depending on the season).

Their bread is baked daily, try their award winning tipsy pig and rye sourdough:
and caramelised onion loaf.

This shop has not forgotten its roots but has also diversified.  They sell a phenomenal amount of pizza and the focaccia also looked good:
Many farm shops I visit are good  -but don't quite get the marketing right. However this place ticks all the boxes for me!
