Bristol - St Nicholas Market

If you are ever in Bristol, I'd definitely go to St Nicholas Market.  The locals affectionately call it St Nicks. It's situated in and around the old Exchange:
At the front of this fine Georgian building is a clock with two minute hands - one showing Greenwich Mean Time and the other "Bristol time".

There are also different markets on different days. There's a farmers' market every Wednesday, a food market on Fridays and a Slow Food market on the first Sunday of every month. I like the Nails Market.  There are four bronze tables are located outside the Exchange on Corn Street, called nails.  Some say this is where the term "cash on the nail comes from" - but this claim is disputed.
Inside the Exchange, there's a eclectic mix of traders.

Dr Burnorium's Hot Sauce Emporium boasts "your pain is our pleasure"!
I've never seen such a range of chilli sauces before:
They've become so popular, they've just moved to even bigger premises.
There's lots of good places to eat. The Kofta Bar pictured at the top of this post serves fresh Lebanese food. It's run by The Real Olive Company and some food is suitable for vegans.

Also serving vegetarian and vegan food is Royce Rolls:
They've been going since 1979 and have a great reputation for good cheap food.

There's oriental food:
and Kalahari Moon sells food from South Africa.
Just by Source Food Hall & Café a sign:
This independent chocolate shop specialises in all things chocolate! They sell a wide range of very different chocolate, including vegan and gluten free chocolate:
